Sastry defends PhD dissertation
On Friday, September 7, 2007, Kumara Sastry, long-time lab member and graduate student defended his dissertation entitled Genetic Algorithms and Genetic Programming for Multiscale Modeling: Applications in Materials Science and Chemistry and Advances in Scalability. Please join me in congratulating Kumara (Dr. Sastry, that is) for a job very well done. He is finishing up the details of his dissertation and working on the rewrite of The Design of Innovation with me until October. At that time, he will join Intel in Portland, Oregon.
