Illinois Genetic Algorithms Laboratory

Some of the best research coming out of the Illinois Genetic Algorithms Laboratory (IlliGAL) has been conducted by visitors from other institutions who came to the lab and used the Illinois design methodology  (see The Design of Innovation) to achieve important new results.  Today, at the 2008 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO-2008), the lab announces a new program, the Illinois Visit Program.  PhD students at other institutions may apply to the program and are eligible for travel and housing assistance.  Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 .  For more details, download the program announcement here or pick one up one at the conference.
