Engineering and Technology Studies at Illinois

The Center for Global Studies (CGS) and Engineering and Technology Studies at Illinois (ETSI) have teamed up to create a lecture series called The Limits and Opportunities of Technology (LOT) for academic year 2007-2008.  Six lectures are planned on topics relating to energy, the environment, and information technology.  Additional information will be posted as detailed speaker information becomes available.

Mark your calendars for the morning of 5 September 2007 for a Workshop on the Engineer of the Future. Outgoing National Academy of Engineering President Bill Wulf will keynote the workshop, and a program of stimulating conversation is planned from 8 am until 12:30 pm.  The meeting is sponsored by the Dean’s office of the UIUC College of Engineering and Engineering and Technology Studies at Illinois.  Stay tuned to the ETSI site for more details.
